Monthly Meetings

NEW FOR 2017 Members are encouraged to set up table displays and are welcome to vend at our monthly meetings held on the SECOND THURSDAY of every month!

Monthly meetings of the WNYHS are held on the SECOND THURSDAY of the month in the Community Room of the Julia Boyer Reinstein Library, 1030 Losson Road, Cheektowaga, NY 14227 (see map below).

The doors will open at 6:30 PM to vendors, with a short business meeting starting at 7:00 PM. The guest lecture will begin immediately after the conclusion of the business meeting. Once the speaker is done with his or her presentation members are welcome to stay until 8:45pm and can once again continue selling / purchasing items from vendors, during the presentation we ask all sales to STOP.

A popular feature at each meeting is the Herp Show and Tell. Members and guests are invited to bring along their reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates to show them off, and share their stories with other reptile and amphibian enthusiasts.

If you plan to bring your pets, please be sure that they are in good health, parasite free, and in compliance with applicable local, NYS and Federal laws. You must transport them in a safe and suitable container, carrier or snake bag, and have control of them at all times. If you would like to bring your animal to a meeting, please take the time to read our Note About Bringing Herps to Events for more information. Thank you for your cooperation to ensure a positive experience is enjoyed by all.

Anyone with an interest in herpetology is invited to our meetings ~ you do not need to be a Society member to attend and participate. Families with children are welcome, and encouraged to visit! We hope to see you at a WNYHS meeting soon!
