Come join the WNY Herpetological Society for our monthly meeting as we welcome guest speaker Domenic D’Amore as he shares with us a presentation on Varanid (monitor lizard) teeth and composition! This scientific presentation will be an adapted version of the same speech Mr. D’Amore gave during a conference in China! Domenic is the herpetology professor at Damen College as well and will be available to answer any questions, at the end of his presentation, anyone may have that is interested in a career in herpetology.

Surely this is an event monitor, general reptile enthusiast, and various science majors won’t want to miss!

Ontop of the presentation we will be opening the doors for the third time to vendors! This will allow at the monthly meetings, for members of the society, to sell reptile related merchandise, healthy animals within NYS guidelines, and other products in relation to herpetology. Vending spots will be decided based on a first come first serve basis, or can be claimed via message or email. Vendors are welcome and encouraged to arrive and begin set up at 6:25 PM. Vendors are welcome to sell prior to meeting , but are requested to cease sales during the monthly designated presentation, than can once again begin sales until the end of the meeting.

WNY Herp Society meetings are free and open to the public, and families with kids are welcome to attend. After the speaker has concluded, you’re invited to stay and chat with other herp enthusiasts, catch up with old friends, and meet new ones.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their herp pets with them to show off and share with an admiring audience! If you do plan to bring a herp pet, please be sure to read the guidelines for safely bringing reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates to the meeting
